This is a really good looking set, especially when in use. I have found that after it heats up, I can cut the gas flow back quite a bit and the flames look like a wood fire. There is significant radiant heat from this set (owing in part to the bed of coals at the bottom). We can feel the radiant heat from 10 feet away. We are very happy with this set!
